We thought this would be a great way to keep everyone up to date on what's going on and where we are in the process.
After several trys at getting pregnant and it not working, we decided to go the adoption route. We have our first meeting with our Adoption working next Friday the 8th. We have already had our home study from the Foster License people. (We have to be licensed foster parents before we can adopt). We spent the month of March cleaning and tearing our apartment apart, getting rid of stuff and adding all those adult things you need as parents....like a kitchen table! We also had to have a crib and car seat in the home so we now have a psuedo-nursery.
There is so much to tell to all of you and I'm sure you have tons and tons of questions so please don't hesitate to post them here. We will try to answer them all and keep you all informed of our little journey
Congratulations are definitely in order. I'm so happy that you two are going to be parents. You've worked so hard to get to this point. Best wishes on completing the rest of this marathon smoothly. Love you guys!

ReplyDeleteYou both know what big fans I am of you both already! This just adds a whole new level of admiration.
Being adopted myself and just being passionate about parenthood in general, I cannot even begin to tell you what an amazing gift you are going to be giving some deserving child out there. I am fully aware of the joys that your prospective child will bring to your life, but having known you both for the past several years...trust me when I say that your child is going to one of the luckiest children ever.
You both are amazing women and I just know that this journey will be one of many great memories. Enjoy the ride and know that you have many fans in your corner...supporting you all the way till the end!
